Our Backyard – Anglesea

Welcome to Anglesea

If you have been caught in traffic coming in and out of Anglesea over the recent summer holidays, there is no doubt it not only added hours to your trip but robbed you of beach time! More importantly though, this is a hot topic in the extreme event there was a disaster such as a bush fire or a major accident on the road. As a holiday maker or resident would you know what to do or where to go if this was to happen?

This Sunday, Sarah Henderson who is the Federal Member for Corangamite, Craig Lapsley Emergency Management Commissioner and Vicroads William Tieppo, will be addressing issues regarding traffic congestion and fire risk. This is a great opportunity as a local or visitor to put forward your opinion or find out what is being proposed to alleviate potential hazards.  Of course the other major one is the Alcoa Brown Coal Mine and the environmental effects to the township of Anglesea. Is there really a health risk or is it a positive use of resources and sustaining the life we live?

Meeting will be held at 4pm Sunday 25th January at Anglesea Community Hall in McMillan Street.

If you would like to attend you can RSVP to 5243 1444 or email dean.bushell@aph.gov.au

Whilst prevention is better than cure, any changes in the future to Anglesea will add value to the property market! We have again had another great week with multiple sales of excellent beach homes.

This Australia Day long weekend will be a big one with lots of holiday makers around. There is no better place to celebrate how lucky we are to be in this wonderful country of ours. May you take a moment out of your busy lives to sit, breathe, take in the view and review how blessed we are.

We welcome anyone to come along and attend our Auctions on Sunday 25th January.

We have plenty of properties open for inspection. Perhaps investing in property is the best way to own a little bit of this country of ours on Australia Day Long Weekend!

Whatever you do, have a Beautiful Weekend, we look forward to seeing you around.
