Our Backyard – Anglesea

Welcome to Anglesea.

Real estate is so much more than just a house, each of us that love property appreciates many aspects of it. There is something pretty special when you just know the home you walk into feels right.  Our senses are heightened as there are so many elements to make a decision on, location, view, trees,  layout, architecture, era, interior design, light, sun aspect, budget, investment, land size, renovation potential or the perfect property that has it all.

We receive many briefs on buying criteria and every now and again we can cater to most purchasers with stock currently on the market or coming onto the market

Anglesea offers some really interesting properties and a lot that have fantastic potential with a bit of vision and cosmetic update.

We talk about a house construction wise as having ‘good bones’, so no big wall moves, just colour, floors, plants, furniture, artwork, decks, rendering etc. Being beach side does allow for a more relaxed and carefree way to create spaces. There are some fantastic stores to buy feature pieces; I like some of the online sites to shop from too. Here are a few of my favourite ones. I actually worked for space furniture when I worked in commercial interiors 20 years ago & hence my passion for interior design and property started then!

This week I had the pleasure of again exploring what’s on our doorstep in Anglesea and also Aireys Inlet, only 10 minutes down the road.  I haven’t been on a horse for many years and have wanted to get out into that picturesque bush. I had the most beautiful experience at Blazing Saddles, just myself and my guide Rosa who was an incredibly helpful instructor. Clear blues sky, sunshine, fresh air and riding into the hills for a few hours really was exhilarating.  So was the new freshly brewed beer at the Aireys Pub I enjoyed afterwards!  A favourite place with the locals in Anglesea is Uber Mama, a restaurant and bar they often have live music.
