It’s not very often I’m up before sunrise! This morning I was fortunate to be attending a breakfast at Captain Moonlite hosted by Business and Tourism Anglesea. Local Traders getting together to share information on the area & their businesses. Through this association local companies can work together to create special events that are a major draw card to anyone visiting Anglesea or living in the area.  There are some wonderful programs for kids through the school holidays, all the hard work has been done for you, so no need to try and pull some of these activities together yourself plus there are great savings on doing it this way.  I will keep you updated on some upcoming winter options & programmes, great for getting kids out into the fresh air and meeting new friends. http://www.angleseaadventure.com.au/

I was fortunate to sit next to Alex who is involved in the new organic store GROW – Great Ocean Road Wholefoods. The two owners Bree Melotte & Bec Winkler, who are both naturopaths have created a wellness hub, the first of its kind in Australia with a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. They are providing Anglesea with its very own herbal pharmacy/apothecary with a qualified naturopath instore 7 days a week. They will be running a series of regular healthy eating workshops and onsite yoga classes. If you need some advice or require products for dietary restrictions for example nervous system, gut health and the liver, they can provide all you will need.  The business opened at 3/11 Inverlochy Street (next to McGain Nursery) this week however the official launch is tomorrow!

Talking of food! Brae Restaurant this week was awarded Australia’s best restaurant for 2017 (and in the top 50 in the world). Located Cape Otway Road, Birregurra – about 30 mins from Anglesea! I understand it’s a very long wait to get in, but from what I understand, it’s worth putting in your diary for a very special occasion visit! https://braerestaurant.com/
