Our Backyard – Anglesea

You can only imagine what our office looked like this week, so many people popping in thought we were a florist! An office full of women (plus Ben) all receiving flowers, the delivery guy couldn’t believe how many bunches were being sent for Valentines Day. For us we were just so happy to be working as we couldn’t love anything more than what we do every day dealing with our favorite people and living on the coast.

As we are hitting the middle of the month we are slowly recovering from a super busy summer, the staff in Anglesea are starting to breathe a little as everyone settles back into routine. As we start to analyze the 2017 year and also the summer period. I will start to give you some statistics on the market and how we have performed.

From a holiday perspective – The Summer from December to Current / end of February we had an amazing 436 Bookings for our properties!!!! That’s a lot of people enjoying our properties, and from our side of the business – a lot of managing house cleans, linen hire, check in’s and check out’s! to give you some dollar figures our highest amount for a single booking was in the range of $16K and the lowest $300 for a 2 night stay. Basically the range of properties we have caters to a very broad market.  It’s no wonder our team a bit weary!

So how did the market perform with sales! Well it’s not surprising with how quickly properties are selling, that the results demonstrated low stock levels compared with other years. We had approx 100 sales in Anglesea from Jan – Dec 2017. The highest amount of sales was in February 2017 with 15 for the month and the next biggest months were May / June and December all around 9/10 for each month. Interesting how the winter months actually performed very well.

I’ll give you some numbers next week on average prices and categories.

Here is your chance to assist with our statistics with snapping up some of our excellent properties and with great interest on each of them, they won’t be around for long, so you better be quick! Also as you know if you’re reading this, you’re the first to know about new listings – before our photographer does! Don’t hesitate to ask for a sneaky look through and be like the buyers of 21 Third Avenue, who made an offer in 24 hours.

Have a wonderful weekend, see you at the open for inspection and private appointments.
