Our Backyard – Anglesea

Happy New Year!

It’s end of financial year and time to analyse the performance of the Anglesea market over the last 6 months. I am constantly asked by sellers when is the best time to put your house on the market and I tell them buyers are always there, so long as we have great stock / listings. Generally our sales slow down slightly over winter but before you know it, August approaches and we start to prepare for the Spring / Summer period. My head space is always 3-6 months ahead, which is great that I’m thinking Summer when I’m toasting myself in front the fire!

The July school holidays is a particularly low period for property sales, particularly in the Melbourne market as so many people either head to the snow for ski season or the opposite to the sunshine and warmth. It’s interesting because we usually discount the coast, however there have been so many people around – it’s been super busy on the roads and our little village car park is full to the brim, it’s great to see so many people enjoying the coast and beaches at this time of year.

I know so many of my friends with kids are super busy with school and then after school activities, that I actually love seeing kids in their pj’s all day watching movies and snuggled up relaxing. For me I totally enjoy having a house full of my favourite people, so we can sit for a moment and chill – literally.
