Our Backyard – Anglesea

Welcome to Anglesea

We started the week off with winter and the month June which = Cold and Reality! This time of year is an opportunity to review everything, heating first and foremost but also being end of financial year, analysis of the numbers.

It was perfect timing for us to join 4000 Real Estate Agents at the largest conference ever in their 18 years. AREC (Australian Real Estate Conference) brings together the best in the business, not just motivational speakers but agents who excel in the industry. I’m grateful for being supported by our company to be given the opportunity to continually learn and grow, it was a fulfilling and rewarding experience.

Be rest assured that Real Estate is heading in the right direction in Australia. Vendors, Buyers, Tenants and Guests all being treated with respect and valued.  Whilst I talk about reviewing the statistics, it is also very much about reviewing our life and choices we make too. It was certainly a choice for me to leave the Melbourne real estate market where I was based in Brighton, to work and live in Anglesea, a beautiful environment and every day I feel blessed to be here.

I would like to share some statistics on the Anglesea Real Estate market that may be of interest to you:

There are approx. 2500 permanent residents that live in Anglesea and this number is growing rapidly.

Since June 2014 to May 2015 there have been approx. 137 sales of property & Great Ocean Road Real Estate selling close to 30% of these.

May had a total of 13 sales – more than Sept, Nov, Jan & Feb which are considered the ‘peak’ months of the year, Spring & Summer. The seasons and market is consistent, however more than that low stock levels and high demand are creating a strong time for Real Estate across Melbourne and Victoria. Last week I spoke of clearance rates of over 80% which again is demonstrating higher than average figures.

Being a full service agency means we also look after Holiday Accommodation and Permanent Rental all from one office, I will share some numbers on this side of our business next week too. For any vendors or buyers, this means that you are just dealing with one office, so we hope this point of difference continues to deliver exceptional service to the Anglesea market.

Have a wonderful long weekend. It’s a great time to catch up with friends, beach walks, dinners – my guests will be enjoying my 10 hour slowed cooked beef tonight! If you enjoy live music or have a hidden talent come along to the Aireys pub on Sunday for their open mic.

We are doing plenty of private inspections and open for inspections. Look forward to seeing you on the coast.
