Welcome to Anglesea

We’re on the home straight……the last week of winter. I can almost smell the snags sizzling on the BBQ as we eagerly await taking prime position on the balcony to soak up that afternoon warmth from the sun.

But wait, there’s ‘the list’ of all the jobs be done around the house, all the ones that we said we would do when there was more light and time, the stuff we put on the back burner until now! Spring is a great time for a freshen up as the property market hits a traditional busy time.

Last year in Anglesea, October had more sales transactions than any other time of the year, then followed by December and March. Buyers have been looking forward to seeing more stock as sales have been consistent with no dramatic peak and troughs in sales performance throughout the year to date.

This coming month we have 2 weeks of school holidays from 18th September along with the Surf Coast Century 100km run over that weekend too. A lot of people seemed to have already had big holidays overseas, skiing or Queensland, so from observing our holiday accommodation bookings, there will be more visitors to the coast.

Slight concerns over the stock market this week are driving investors back into property. Prices being achieved in the Melbourne realestate have been exceptional. The big sale last weekend being a single home site in Glen Waverly for $6 million dollars, that sure makes buying on the coast seem like a bargain. Super quality homes on good land size for under $800K in Anglesea.
