Our Backyard – Anglesea

Welcome to Anglesea…

Last weekend was a delicious taste of summer, we skipped the whole spring thing……until Monday when it was winter with thunder and lightning. I went from a frock and back to boots within 24 hours! Don’t ask a Melbourne / Victorian woman why they require loads of cupboard space, this last week was a perfect demonstration.

So whilst we are on the topic of clothes and cupboard space and that we never seem to have enough, I would like to give you a couple of my tips on seasonal storage. I literally have my clothes sorted into sections, winter coats, boots, scarves /hats etc and swap seasons around to be within easy reach and put the season I’m not utilizing in mobile clothes cupboards and put them away (rumpus room, under the house, garage – all weather proof of course). Another great tip is to purchase from Bunnings the big plastic storage containers with lids and put items away you won’t use regularly. Mark the outside so you can get to those tubs easily when they are stacked. Ideal for kids toys, games, beach towels, blankets etc. This basically enables you to keep your beach house clutter free, so giving you a feeling of space – or I like to call organised chaos!

I also recommend this to vendors when they feel overwhelmed about putting their house on the market and need the house looking clear and clean. It’s the cheat’s way to ‘decluttering’!

Most properties in Anglesea have huge garden sheds / garages or built in under house sections that are great for all the toys that both children and adults love. Surfboards, wetsuits, fishing rods, footballs etc.

If you are looking for a property with storage, we have the perfect homes for you.

–          54 Murray Street – has a double lock up garage and off street parking

–          7 Hyland Court – has a double garage, storage room, garden shed and off street parking for a boat or caravan

–          53 Belton Street – has a double lock up garage and rear ‘cubby house’ or shed

This weekend we have the Surfcoast Century 100Km trail run in Anglesea and commencement of school holidays, so it will be busy. Last weekend, Lorne had the Amy Gillett foundation bike ride, the coast is host to these incredible events for participates to embrace the beautiful environment. It is an absolute credit to anyone that enrols.

Have a wonderful time whatever it is you are doing, we look forward to meeting you at the open for inspections or in the office. We are available to take you through properties by appointment too.
