Our Backyard – Anglesea

Welcome to Anglesea

Only in Victoria would we have a public holiday for a game of football! Whilst most people are saying it’s ridiculous, for anyone travelling to the coast of course we’re loving it because it means more beach time. The scheduled perfect weather is just assisting with us all changing our minds and on Monday we will be talking up what a fabulous move it was having a long weekend.

I grew up being a daughter of an AFL footballer and coach, so when it comes to the game, I have to say I love footy fever. Unfortunately being a Richmond supporter means I scoop up my shattered dreams of winning every year and swiftly move on to which other team I’ll be barracking for on the day, In this case it’s the ‘Victorian’ team vs the ‘Interstate’ one. Ian and Geoff Lewtas in our office also enjoyed playing for Geelong in the AFL, so it goes without saying the Anglesea team all embrace the spirit of the game.

As the school holidays come to an end and this weekend being a long one, it has proved very busy with holiday accommodation bookings and lots of interest through our properties. We have had 4 sales in September, 3 in the last two weeks demonstrating spring has arrived and there are an abundance of buyers for the right properties. Our biggest issue is fulfilling demand as there are simply not enough listings to accommodate the market, particularly in the $400 – $700K price range. Also Point Roadknight is still highly requested with buyers waiting for a specific street, home or aspect to come up.

Land sites are hard to come by in pockets close to the shops, beach and amenities. We do have a couple of listings coming up, so can certainly direct you in those.

To accommodate the Grand Final, we will hold our open for inspections on Sunday, however if you are not into the match and want to see a property by private appointment, let us know and we’ll get you through – Prior to 2pm on Saturday!!

Have a wonderful weekend and hope you’re kicking goals in the game of life! Enjoy.
