Our Backyard – Anglesea

Welcome to Anglesea!

Full Moon Blessings from Anglesea! It was an eclipse full moon last night and coming into Easter and school holidays, there is never a better time to release the old patterns and stuff you’re hanging onto. A perfect environment to get stuck into the boxes of items lying around, clothes you don’t need, filing that needs to be done…… I should know because my spare room is exactly like this and its time I addressed it!!! The new moon arrives bringing new beginnings and fresh starts…. Time to purchase a new property, re-arrange your living room, the road ahead looks positive – no point in looking back now!!!

There is nothing more beautiful than the glistening of the moon light over the ocean, if you get the chance you must head down to the sea and see it yourself. Better still come along to the Rusty Anchor Bar – Anglesea Yacht Club and share a drink overlooking Point Roadknight.

The Rusty Anchor Bar has been a wonderful journey and brilliant meeting place for locals and guests coming into town. As the major sponsor of course I have been there personally as much as I can and have met some pretty incredible people. It will be the last few days to enjoy it as it closes up until next season. We will have it open Thursday 24th, Friday 25th, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th from 5pm – 8pm.  On Sunday I will be drawing the winner of the ‘rusty anchor sculpture‘ by local and talented artists Cinnamon and Rowan Stephens, of Studio 66. Look forward to seeing you there at 6pm for the draw and still plenty of opportunity to purchase tickets!!

We had a beautiful story last week of a guest wanting to secure holiday houses for his upcoming wedding. Glenn and Natasha have been together for 13 years and decided Anglesea would be a perfect place for their marriage. So as we are discussing how many holiday homes they will need to book for the 60 guests they have invited, Glenn casually mentions they haven’t got a venue booked or one in mind! With the wedding in about 4 weeks, the team in the Anglesea office are now in event planning mode and somewhat emotionally invested in ensuring that they make it down the aisle (walk in the sand). There is only one option! The Anglesea Yacht Club….. so between us here at Great Ocean Road Real Estate and the crew at The Rusty Anchor Bar, we secured them a venue for their wedding. PHEW! Big relief. We even had Alanna Boston our local marriage celebrant and divine soul lined up for the day……. This couple put a different spin on ‘relaxed’. Anyway, we can’t wait to meet them, give them a hug and wish them well for the future!

Yet again real estate is more than property, its people and relationships that create the warmth and positive experiences we love so much.
