Our Backyard – Anglesea

Welcome to Anglesea

I blinked and then it was two weeks to Christmas! Being based in Anglesea, I have become quite the online shopper and I just love how efficient the postal system is. It’s incredible how you can track where the parcels are on route, just like Santa and the reindeers flying from the North Pole. Presents being delivered right to the door and I haven’t had to endure frustrating car parks and ques at the register. The only thing you need to know is exactly what you want and who you are buying for.  If you do want to jump in the car there are some bigger stores that are easier to get to and have great variety of items.

When In doubt, buy a house gift! Who doesn’t love something to brighten up a home and these ideas are winners and you can’t go wrong….. so here it is, my top tips for present buying……

– Indoor plants! Bunnings have a great selection of pots and indoor plants, plus the bag of potting mix. You can buy a few, pot them and you have an awesome gift for $30 – $50.

– Hanging baskets and one of my favourites right now is macramé plant holders, you can check out my summer make over at the yacht club using this look

– Scented Candles, are so popular and lovely for entertaining

– Crockery – serving bowls, platters & jars. I love whites and blues, anything ocean of course!

– Lighting – Himalayan salt lamps are great restoring or preserving natural air quality. So positive effect around electrical items like TV’s & appliances

– Beach Towels or fresh towels for the bathroom – because we can never have enough right!

– Magazine subscriptions are wonderful because it’s the gift that keeps giving. Lovely getting a monthly publication arriving & you can get some excellent deals too. Mags like Real Living, Vogue living, Belle etc

– Coffee table books….. again anything architectural, beach houses, surfing or sport is good for a read and look fab

– Picture frames – with a photo of you and the person you are gifting to, is special and unique.
