What a week in Real-estate!

Interesting that everywhere I turn I seem to be seeing stories on the property market and speculation about where it’s heading. Prices have dropped by 10-20%, some Melbourne suburbs prices are as low as 8 years ago…. So what’s causing all this and is it real? From my summation of everything I have analysed, the only variable or change to the market is that banks have impacted buyers through more stringent guidelines and finance approvals are taking anywhere from 2-4 weeks, so I guess this is why auction clearance rates have been lower than usual, being an unconditional sale on the day but private sales are still strong. There is literally no other market factors that have changed, employment rates and salary unchanged, economy strong and Australia is still considered one of the wealthiest countries in the world. Our Anglesea / Torquay team have been busy listing and selling property and we are very excited about bringing some incredible houses to you over the summer. This time of year is traditionally about love, friendship, holidays and relaxing with our favourite humans. It can also be a time where people get stressed and upset easily, so keep your cool and remember there is always someone so much worse off than you. Missing out on a car park or long ques at the counter are not a big deal when there are people that can’t afford to eat or battling with the grief of losing a loved one. Better to give a hug & a blessing than get angry! ‘Calm your farm’

As a branch, I couldn’t not be more proud of the staff we are fortunate to have working here and I adore each and every one of the team.
