Our Backyard Anglesea & Torquay

A lot of businesses along the coast either reduce their hours or close for a period of time over the winter, thank goodness this week and the upcoming weeks, this starts to change! I had 8 of my friends come and stay last weekend for a ‘sisterhood birthday’ celebration, we opened the wine early Friday night and decided pizza was the way to go….. oops they were closed, so cheese and biscuits it was. Then on Saturday night we booked into a la grecque which had just opened for the season the night before and it was full to the brim, not a single table available, it was great to see people showing support for local restaurants! A lot of businesses commenting that there were more people regularly visiting the coast this winter than ever before which I think is an indication of the lifestyle balance of using their beach houses more consistently through the year.
