There is so much excitement in the air this week, school holidays kick off today, spring weather has arrived, surf coast century 100KM, Angair – wildflower and Art event is on this weekend and footy fever is at its peak… particularly if you’re a Tigers or Geelong supporter!

Our holiday accommodation team has been super busy preparing for over 100 check in’s over the next week, we are very proud sponsors of the Surf Coast Century. Both the 100KM and 50KM formats take runners on an extraordinary journey along towering sea cliffs, remote beaches, wildflower hinterland and spiralling single track. No two steps are the same on this epic ultra-marathon run.

The event has a great reputation as the ideal introduction for those tackling their first ultra-marathon. The accessible course, professional support services, easy logistics (start and finish in Anglesea) and incredible aura generated by supporters, runners and officials makes the Surf Coast Century newbie friendly. We wish all the participants an enjoyable journey and a huge congratulations for embracing the event and our coastline. A big thank you to all our property owners for also supporting the participants by offering late check outs, so our guests have time to enjoy a hot shower and rest after completion.

We also want to thank Pru at Off Shore for supporting our Surf Coast Century guests by offering a great deal on the best coffee in town. Off shore are located just near the IGA in Anglesea and have delicious food and catering.

This week I had the pleasure of being treated to a massage at Lux Spa, which is located at Great Ocean Road Resort. Its tucked away so you may not realise it’s there, however they do have availability over the coming week and school holidays, so why not book yourself in for some pampering, particularly if you have participated in the surf coast century!
