Our Backyard Anglesea & Torquay

It was sad to hear the Koala affectionately named Lewis that I shared footage of being saved from a burning tree last week unfortunately didn’t survive & passed away this week. The footage created international exposure on our bush fires and the wildlife impacted, shedding a huge light on saving and rehabilitating animals. Lewis did not die in vain in fact he has assisted in generating a revenue raising ‘record breaking achievement’ the ‘go fund me page’ that was set up to support the koala hospital has received approx. 42,000 donations and raised over $1.8 million dollars which is the highest figure to date in Australia via this site. Donations from over 90 countries in just under 3 weeks, this has been overwhelming for the hospital that were hoping to raise $25,000.  Initially they wanted the money for drinking stations and now they are able to set up a Koala breeding program (koala ark) due to the thousands of Koalas that have died from the fires.

If you feel like a lot has gone on this month, this is the fifth Friday in November! Whilst the year is full steam ahead, this month has been a little all over the place. The good news is that mercury has been retrograde (Oct 31st – 20th Nov) and the planet started moving forward over a week ago from the 20th. Mercury retrograde effects moving parts, electrical and mechanical and it’s usually not a great time to sign contracts etc due to miscommunication and hold ups! But is sure is now…so if you have been wondering if you should purchase a property and maybe a new car to go in the garage, the timing has never been better as you are fully supported by the universe!
