Our Backyard Anglesea & Torquay

I was reading one of those posts on Instagram that said, I guess now we will really work out all those meetings that could be handled by email! So here I am working from home, as I have a ‘cold’ and literally cant get into a doctor as they are just too booked out, I was told I should go and stand in the que at Barwon Health in Corio to be tested for Coronavirus! In the instance that I did have it, would then be told to go home and self-isolate, think I’m doing that already right.

Its pretty hard not to talk about it as this pandemic is taking over our daily lives and in one way or another, we are affected by it. Already so many people are asking about the property market and how it will impact us? For anyone that is watching their superannuation fund plummet to nothing, with the stock market having the biggest drop since black Monday in 1987, investors are thinking that ‘bricks and mortar’ are a wonderful tangible asset.

Property investment has in fact never been more appealing than it is today and if you’re a buyer right now, you are in prime position to negotiate and secure the home you’ve been holding out for. Vendors are listening and ready to do deals, for so long purchasers have felt it’s a ‘vendors market’ well now it’s a ‘buyer’s market’ so make the most of it and act quickly.

I would also anticipate that we may just see the banks also loosen up some on some of those hoops they have been making you jump through to get a loan. Whilst its undeniable there’s uncertainty looming about, we will get through and get over it and move on, if you’re an opportunist, then capitilise on this situation and move forward.

Property markets overall are performing incredibly well and super positive results still coming out of all major cities Australia wide including Melbourne. Our Lorne office, having recently had the best month of sales in their history, with one property achieving over $7million with 3 bidders in a board room auction.

To this end, I am absolutely thrilled to let you know I have just listed the most incredible Anglesea Property. Literally a ‘One Off, Unique Site’ for the entire coastline. Approximately half an acre block of land, over 1800 sqm with Point Roadknight frontage with the ability to be subdivided (STCA). Unencumbered views of the beach right through to Point Addis, with the current owner putting powerlines underground many years ago. There are currently 2 joined houses on the block, one single level with 4 bedrooms, bathroom, living and kitchen in original condition. The second house is double storey with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathroom, 2 living with an open plan kitchen dining all with windows and doors leading out onto the balcony showcasing the BEST views of the water on the surf coast and so close you can almost touch the water. We will be taking the property to market under an EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST CAMPAIGN, end of April – and conducting private appointments.

72 Melba Parade, Point Roadknight. Price Range – $5.5 – $6 million. Refer Kellie for more information.

Given you can’t go to the Grand Prix or the Footy or any event of more than 500 people, then you may as well jump in the car, get out of town and head to the coast to view our incredible properties on offer.

Last week I mentioned the fundraising lunch at the Anglesea Motor Yacht Club and I can report from a total number of 60 people in attendance over $160K was raised on the day! How amazing is that support, a toilet roll auctioned off and achieving $5K…. looks like our new facility will be up and running before we know it.

Have a wonderful weekend, enjoy every second. We look forward to seeing you at the open for inspections and private appointments.

Kind Regards
