Our Backyard Anglesea & Torquay

As we head into winter our coastal towns traditionally slip into hibernation, suddenly our seasons have changed. With an easing in restrictions and interstate borders still closed, our phones have been ringing off the hook with holiday bookings with guests wanting an escape. This long weekend plus school holidays coming up at the end of the month and into July is looking very busy.

Separately to that the coastal property market is flourishing with strong interest from buyers as we continue to reevaluate how we live our lives, particularly with more work / life balance & flexibility. We are conducting a lot of private inspections through the week Monday – Friday with buyers choosing to visit the coast again due to timing flexibility.

We have had feedback from owners and guests enjoying beach houses when they usually wouldn’t be here. Positive experiences and a new appreciation of the coast in winter and how surprisingly lovely it is.

With so much going on in the world, I have never felt so fortunate to live in Australia. Last weekend I finally caught up with some friends, which was so divine – needless to say it was a very, very long lunch. I also headed out for a horse ride in Aireys Inlet, it really is so spectacular to be on the top of a hill on a horse and overlooking the coastline.  I was counting my blessings being surrounded by such magnificence, whilst also supporting local business.

Thinking of renovating! The government has launched a new construction initiative to stimulate work for trades through upgrades to existing properties or new builds…. There are some strict guidelines to adhere to but certainly worth looking into if additions or alterations of $150K plus were already in your planning for the year ahead, with $25K available.
