Our Backyard Anglesea & Torquay

I had a very large slice of humble pie last Saturday morning after waking up confirming it wasn’t just a bad nightmare….Tigers totally annihilated by the pies. So, I jumped on the Demons bandwagon and then Sunday morning headed into the office and there was Raema eating another slice of humble pie, so we were miserable together after the dream of our teams playing each other was smashed in 24 hours.

Here we are celebrating a public holiday for the big game tomorrow and regardless of my feelings towards Collingwood, the grand final now becomes a state versus state and I’ll be forced to barrack for the team that killed mine last week. The upside is it makes it a stress-free fun day and I can just enjoy it with all my friends at the Aireys Pub. Of course, I will be working with open for inspections prior to 1pm, so you can still get out and about looking at property prior to the match.

Yesterday was a picture-perfect day on the coast, clear blue skies, the sunshine glistening on the emerald green water. As I drove to work I just had to pull into the Guvo’s car park and take a few photos of the beach. A couple of locals were there checking out the surf and coincidentally we had sold them both properties in recent years, I just love those moments of catching up with great Anglesea residents and that relationships with people you deal with in business doesn’t end once the deal is done. The coastal town environment is like that and many times I’ve said to vendors and buyers that my philosophy of ethical and honest business practice is because I believe in it, but also that I’m going to see you at the IGA or newsagent or checking out the surf on a sunny day, so I have a moral obligation to be genuine and greet you with a smile when I see you!

The real estate momentum is definitely picking up now spring, long weekends and school holidays are here, great to see so many people arriving and enjoying the coast, having fun relaxing and getting some fresh air. I started my morning with a house full of my favourite angels and prior to 9am I was engaged in fashion parades, dress ups and dance moves, so much fun and laughter children can bring.

We have a couple of great new properties and as always have more coming up that we will chat to you about in due course. The Anglesea market is performing incredibly well with the majority of listings in the price bracket of $600-$950K being sold within a 4-week time frame, this further reinforcing to move quickly if you like what you see and if your agent tells you there’s multiple interest then get your offer written up and presented asap!
