Our Backyard – Anglesea & Torquay

This week there has been more controversy over honey than the recent change of the Australian Prime Minister! And I’m not talking about the honey badger from the bachelor, although I can’t get enough of that trash TV either.

There has been a frenzy over ‘real honey’ as apparently there’s a theory over man made manufactured stuff that is posing as bee generated goodness. So everyone on the coast is wanting to know where we can get local liquid gold and there are some amazing local contacts that I thought I’d share with you. Personally I get mine from Stabbs butcher in Anglesea, Gordon thinks I’m mad as I go in there and get eye fillet steak for my dog Rosie (as I don’t eat meat) and pick up the Manuka honey for myself.

So here’s the list

  • Ravens Creek in Moriac
  • Surfcoast Honey in Torquay
  • Mount Dunned John Edmondson Honey
  • Otway apiarist is available at the Torquay farmers market every Saturday
  • Arosite Rd is a local seller for $18 for a big tub
  • Michael – is the honey man in Anglesea
  • Jan Juc Chiro and wellbeing centre – Apiary Honey
  • Bellbrae estate – Apiary Honey
  • Moriac general store – Apiary Honey
  • Corner of Grange Cres and Loch Ard – in the garage on a table!!!
  • Bellbrae op shop
  • Torquay produce
  • Chocolate factory in Bellbrae

This week we had multiple interest on unit 2/105 Great Ocean Road, Anglesea – 2 bedroom apartment and the price was pushed up over asking price to $670K, which is an outstanding result. Again indicative of this price bracket that so many buyers love.

We have a fantastic new listing – 36 Fairway Drive, which will be open both Saturday and Sunday and for all of those buyers that ask for a ‘single level renovated brick house’ in amazing condition – finally we have a property that meets the brief! Private sale $825K

The team are looking forward to heading out to enjoy some time at Bomboras in Torquay, one of our favourite coastal restaurants and of course we love the Friend family. So if you fancy trying next door too, we can also highly recommend Phoklor – Vietnamese.

Have a great weekend, we look forward to seeing you at the open for inspections and private appointments.

Regards
